While you were away

When I started this blog, it was for my own sanity/memory keeping/ and mostly for Papa to be able to see what we were up to while he was away with the Army. Now that he is no longer in the military but working in a position which allows him to travel (much to his delight since he loves to experience new things), it is still a great way for me to jot down the things that we have been doing and share our days. 

Lately, Papa has been on a work trip in Canada (the kids and I are very jealous of the beautiful views that he has been sending us).

While he has been gone, there have been FaceTime calls with each child...

And we have been filling our time with school, play dates, book clubs, gymnastics, soccer, sometimes with practices ending after the sun went down...

 homework

Sometimes homework in the car due to sport practices..

and lots of playing outside,

(The kids found a toad hiding in one of the trees in the yard)

(Walking stick bug on our screen door)

and the kids checked off and on to see how far away he was that night.
