Snow Day

 The snow is falling!

Pequeño wants to go outside. Trying to kiss the snow.

Go to sleep Little One! We'll go outside after nap!

Finally Outside!
Not so sure about the snow once he got out there. He refused to walk on it and would whine to be picked up every once in a while. He liked watching his brothers play though.

Pudge was rolling around and trying to eat the snow.

Little Bear was breaking up the layer of ice to help make a snowman.

Helping carry the snow for the snowman

He had to taste test every so often.

Shaving Cream fun and Coloring on Windows

This morning the kids wanted to do some crafts. We've been stuck in the house for a few days now so I let them pick from a group of different things that we had all of the supplies for.

Their first choice was to play with shaving cream. This has been something that the kids have loved over the years. I decided to fill ziploc bags with the shaving cream and a few drops of different colors of paint. Then I taped the tops shut (because Pudge would otherwise have immediately opened his and made a mess) and handed them over. The older kids immediately started playing with them and trying to mix the different colors together. At some point, Pudge started pounding on the bag which everyone thought was hilarious.
Pequeño wasn't too sure what to think about it. he kept hitting the bag but if we tried to get him to push down on it with his finger he would turn away and say "Nooooo". However, he didn't want me to take the bag away either.
Little Bear and Pudge ended up with green bags while Pequeño only had a little bit of color mixed into his.
The next fun thing was coloring on the windows. Yes, you read that correctly.I let the kids color on the windows. With window markers given to them by their Abuelo and Abuela. The older kids had a blast and kept giggling and checking over their shoulder to make sure that they weren't going to get in trouble.

Then we blew plastic bubbles. I remember using this when I was growing up. The kids thought that they were amazing.

Pin the Carrot on the Snowman

One of the things that we had gotten for the kid to do during their Christmas vacation was a Pin the Carrot on the Snowman game. It was a big paper that you hang up and then it came with stickers which had carrots on them. So we decided to try it tonight. We taped the snowman paper to one of the walls so that it was at the height for the kids and then they each got to take a few turns being blindfolded (it came with a blindfold but we also used a regular one too since the kids were peeking out of the cardboard one), spun around by Papa. and then tried to put the carrot nose on. They had a lot of fun (especially with being dizzy) and didn't want the game to end. We saved a few stickers so that we can pull the game out another time since it was such a big hit!

Christmas!

Due to Papa's work schedule, we needed to have our family Christmas a little early. Our Christmas Eve was on Dec. 23rd. The kids were so excited knowing that Santa would be coming that it took them all a really long time to go to sleep. Pequeño ended up being removed from his shared room because he wouldn't let Pudge go to sleep. So he had to sleep in our room in his pack and play.
In the morning, the older kids woke up extremely excited and they came into our room to wake Papa and I. Then we all brushed our teeth and got ready to go downstairs. Papa went down first so that he could plug in all of the Christmas lights and get a picture of the kids coming down the stairs.
The first thing that the kids saw was their filled stockings which were hanging on the playroom gate.
Pequeño got a much desired Pluto which he almost tore his stocking apart to get out. He was beyond happy to have his very own Pluto and kept hugging him!

Pudge found a Jake and the Neverland pirates spinning tooth brush and lots of candy which he promptly started eating!

Little Bear was most excited about the two different types of flashlights that were in his stocking as well as a toothbrush that sings "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction while you brush.
Then they moved on to the Christmas tree
In front of each of our spots there were different Nerf guns. We also received a family gift of Disney Eye Found It which I can't wait to play on a family night!
Little Bear received a lot of science related items such as experiments and inventions, a spy alarm, books and a large kite.

Pudge received a furreal cat, Jake and the Neverland Pirate themed items, a large kite, and books.

Pequeño received a bike (his big present) that changes to have pedals, a puzzle, and tag along ducks.

This was Pudge's big present was a big helicopter from the Disney movie Planes which also came with a small plane.

Little Bear's big present was a briefcase. It was the only thing that he asked Santa for and was VERY excited to find that it has number locks on it to keep spying eyes out!

Once the kids were done opening their gifts and were playing, Papa and I opened ours. Little Bear had gotten Papa a big bar of soap because he said that it looks like Army man soap.

I got him a sweater, work pants and shoes, work gloves, a few other things.

He went above and beyond with my gifts and gave me two of my favorite candle, new Reebok sneakers, an Adidas sweatshirt (which matches most of my current workout clothes and both pairs of my sneakers now), dumbells, Olymic Rings for the basement (we'll both use these), a jump rope, resistance bands and the greatest gift....He registered me for my first half marathon which he is going to run with me!

Pequeño's Morning

Every Monday, the older boys have school and Pequeño gets a few hours to himself. Today, Daddy was off from work and he got to spend the time with both Mommy & Daddy which is rare. Since it's getting close to Christmas, we decided to go shopping. One of our first stops was Barnes and Noble where we let Pequeño play for a while. I love that the Barnes and Nobles around here all have things for the kids to do in the Children's area.

Another Park Day

The weather was beautiful today so as soon as I picked Little Bear up from school, we headed to one of the local parks! I think that it was a little chilly for everyone else because we had the park to ourselves for almost the almost two hours that we were there. The older kids asked if they could play with their toy swords that were in the car and I told them that they could until someone else came and then they'd have to put them away. So they spent the first half hour or so running around fighting invisible "bad guys" and every once in a while sword fighting each other. Pequeño was tired and after swinging in the baby swing for a little bit he started whining. So he ended up spending most of the time nice and toasty in the double stroller snacking on dried fruit and then taking a nap.

Before we left, I put Pudge in the stroller with Pequeño and we went for a walk around the mostly paved path that they have there.
