Camping Vacation Day 3

Little Bear woke up extra early and was able to go fishing with Papa Bear before the the kids woke up. He was so excited when he came back because he had caught 4 fish (although he is telling fish-tales already and had started adding to the number of fish he caught!).

The younger kids were exhausted and both slept in. Papa Bear was able to feed Pequeño a bottle in the morning and get in some cuddle time.

Pudge slept the longest so Little Bear and Papa Bear ended up going back downstairs to fish before he woke up.
After Pudge woke up, we had breakfast and the kids wanted to do more crafts. So they sat at the table and each made a few pictures which we left for Grandma and Grandpa.
Pequeño played for a little bit in his booster seat after he was done eating.

More crafts
The rest of that afternoon was spent swimming, playing in the grass, fishing from the boat and shore, kayaking, grilling, and visiting with one of my friends who stopped by.

Camping Vacation Day 2

On our first morning there, Papa Bear woke up early and took the boat out for a ride by himself. By the time that he got back, Pequeño and Little Bear were both awake but laying in their beds. Once Papa Bear attempted to get back in bed, all three kids were instantly moving around and wanting to get into our bed as well. So we had a little snuggle time and played upstairs in the cabin for a little bit.

Daddy opened the blinds for them to see the lake
Then we headed downstairs to make breakfast around 7:30. The kids played while Papa Bear and I got everything ready. Papa made the food (one of his favorite parts about camping is making breakfast in the mornings) and I set everything up.

Breakfast time!
Pudge sneaking a piece of bacon... like father, like son!

Pequeño loves scrambled eggs
Pancakes (some with blueberries), eggs, hash browns, sausage, and bacon
After breakfast, we spent the next few hours fishing and playing in the grass.

Then we made a trip up to Grandma and Grandpa's house and the kids ran around in their yard for a little bit.

The boys were trying to climb a tree so Pudge attempted to lift Little Bear!
Back to the lake to swim!

Too cool.

The water was too cold for Papa Bear to walk in so he decided that he was going to jump off of the dock. so the kids lined up and did a count down (a few times since Papa was dreading the cold water...) for him to jump.
"3...2...1..."

"JUMP!!"
Then Papa Bear and Little Bear went for a swim together.

Camping Vacation Day 1

The first thing that the kids did after arriving at Grandma and Grandpa's cabin was go upstairs and claim their beds. Originally, Little Bear wanted the blow up mattress but after we explained to him that Pudge would probably fall off of the couch if he slept there and that the couch would probably be more comfortable, he agreed to have the couch. This left Pudge with the blow up mattress, Pequeño with his pack-n-play, and Papa Bear and I with our blow up mattress. They then put on their life jackets and ran downstairs with Papa Bear to finish unloading the van.

Once everything was unloaded, the fun began.
Grandma and Grandpa had hung the baby swing for the kids to use which they were really excited about. Pequeño got to use it first which Pudge wasn't too happy about.

But once Papa Bear set up the hammock, Pudge wasn't too interested in the baby swing anymore. Little Bear and Pudge both got to try the hammock by themselves and then attempted to sit in it together which ended with their feet digging into the other person and lots of complaints of being uncomfortable.

After a few minutes of them arguing while "sharing" the hammock, Papa Bear hoisted them out and climbed in for himself. The boys were pretty worried that the hammock was going to break and after Little Bear said " Daddy, you're going to break it. You're a giant." they started chanting "You're a giant! You're a giant!" which had us all laughing for a while.

A little while later Papa Bear asked the kids if they wanted to go in the boat which, of course, was answered with "yes!". The kids watched from the shore while Papa Bear got the boat ready and then the older two went with him for a ride around most of the lake.

While they were on the lake, Pequeño and I played in the grass for a little bit until it was nap time. The we went upstairs to the cabin and sat outside on the deck to nurse.

After he nursed, he went right to sleep and I was able to sit out on the deck and read for about 15 or 20 minutes before the older boys came back to the shore.
As soon as they came back, they were telling me all about the fish and birds that they saw. Pudge had claimed the boat and didn't want anyone else (including Papa Bear) driving it which had started a argument between the kids so Papa Bear had decided that they needed to come back to the cabin.
Since Pequeño was still sleeping, Pudge was able to get in some swing time while Papa Bear and I got dinner ready.

After dinner, it was time to go in the kayak. Pudge went first because Little Bear was still eating.
When they came back, he didn't want to get out of the kayak and had to be convinced with the promise of another boat ride before bed.
Then Little Bear got his turn to take a kayak ride around the lake.

Once they came back in, the kids made crafts at the table.
Later, the older two went on a little walk with Papa Bear while I fed Pequeño and Pudge ran back to tell me " Here you fwower!"
Before bedtime, we decided to make some popcorn. Grandma had put her popcorn maker in the cabin so all we needed to do was pour kernels into the top of it and watch it spit the popcorn out. The kids thought that it was great, although Little Bear wasn't a fan of the "whirring" noise and had to cover his ears for that.
