Animal Kingdom

In the morning, I ran through part of the resort path and found where there was a playground and another pool on the way to the little hotel market.
This pool had a really awesome pirate ship with slides, spraying water, and water-shooting cannons in it.
When I got back from my run, we woke up Pudge (the only one still asleep) so that we could eat breakfast and get ready for our day at Animal Kingdom! This turned out to be Little Bear's favorite Disney park!

When we first walked through the first gates, the kids wanted to get their picture taken with "the big frog". Then, we got in line at Guest Services so the kids could get "1st time at Disney World" badges.
Once we got into the park, the first thing that we saw was this! She was amazing!
Then an employee who had a container with beetles in it came by and showed the kids them. Little Bear was very interested because he had learned a little about the same kind (hissing beetles) at the science center that we've been to.

As we walked around, the kids were amazed by the different animals.
I had read to look for the workers with orange bags for a fun scavenger hunt for the kids so the first time that we saw one, we had the kids go over to then to find out about it. They gave the kids each a little book with facts, information, and fun things to do and find (and pencil). As they went to different parts of Animal Kingdom, they would need to check of animals that they saw, solve puzzles, and collect stickers from the workers with the orange bags. This was exactly what Little Bear loves to do so he got right to work! He also really enjoyed being our tour guide and was able to tell us facts about the animals that we didn't know.
One of the highlights of day was going on a safari ride! We saw so many animals (unfortunately the lion wasn't out) and the kids learned a lot (so did Papa and I).

Resting at the hotel

After Magic Kingdom, the kids were exhausted. So we went back to the hotel for dinner and they took a little nap. After they woke up, we went swimming,
The kids got an icecream snack,
and then did the Chinese lantern event that the hotel had that night.

Magic Kingdom Day 1

We took the ferry to Magic Kingdom which the kids thought was awesome!
As soon as we got in, we saw Pluto and they all wanted to get his autograph and a hug.
Little Bear politely asked if we could take his picture on Main Street with the castle in the back.
Then we beelined it to the castle so that they could check it out. Little Bear and Pudge were in awe!
We walked around for a little bit and then used our first FastPass for Flying Dumbo. Pudge, Pequeño, and I were together...
and Little Bear and Papa flew together. The kids all loved it but Pequebwas a little nervous when it first started.
Then we took the train for a little break. This was one of the kids favorite things.
Next we saw Daisy and Pequeño fell in love. She was the only character he talked about for the rest of the trip and he kept hugging her and excitedly bouncing up and down whenever he saw her.
After a while, we stopped for food. Papa, Little Bear, Pudge, and I got hot dogs while Pequeño got a Mickey Mouse shaped soft pretzel.
Our next FastPass was for the Buzz Lightyear ride. Papa and Pudge rode together for this ride and Little Bear, Pequeño, and I were together.
Afterwards, the older two had to take their turn in the jail!
Our next FastPass was for Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. This was a huge hit! We all were laughing and the kids wanted to go back again. They then saw Buzz Lightyear standing outside so we waited in line to see him. Unfortunately, when we  were the second family in line, they closed the line because it was about to storm.

The kids were starting to get tired and were ready to head back to the hotel for a nap. So we rode the ferry back (Pudge and Pequeño fell asleep even though it started POURING rain as we were walking to the ferry) and went to the hotel.

Cookout

Our hotel had a few grills and tables around so we decided to have a cookout! Since our room had a kitchen, we went to a nearby Walmart and stocked up of food. Papa grilled hamburgers and hotdogs while the kids ran and played in the grass.

Kennedy Space Center

In the morning, we surprised the kids with their very own astronaut costumes and told them that we were going to go to the Kennedy Space Center. Little Bear couldn't believe that he was actually going to be going and kept saying "I'm really going to the space center!"

Little Bear was so excited to be able to walk where astronauts have. This smile tells it all!
