Pequeño turns 6!

Pequeño has been asking daily for the last few weeks when it will finally be his birthday. He had a fun filled day planned and couldn’t wait to start telling everyone that he was 6 now.

In the morning, Abuela came down to spend the day with us and to babysit the kids during some of the appointments scheduled throughout the day. Pequeño had a dentist appointment in the morning and was happy to hear that his teeth looked great and he was cavity free!

For lunch, we went to King’s Pizza and let the kids get slices so they could pick whatever kind they wanted.

On our way out, the kids spotted a Lehigh Valley Rocks rock (you take a picture with it, post online, and then hide it for someone else to find) and we’re very excited to explain it to Abuela. They plan to hide it on our upcoming trip.

Then we walked across the parking lot to get Polish Ice. It was our first time going there and Abuela has wanted to try it since the first time she saw the sign while visiting us. Little Bear decided to get ice cream, Pudge and Pequeño got Cotton Candy Ice, and Cuatro got Watermelon Ice. They all loved it.

Then we went home and the kids played outside for a little while. Pudge had a vision therapy appointment so the rest of the kids stayed and played with Abuela while we went.

When we got back around 4:30, Abuela visited for a little while longer and then needed to drive back home. The kids rode their bikes and played on the driveway with chalk until Papa came home around 6 and it was time for Pequeño to open his presents.

He received a new Moana necklace (his had broken and he had been wishing for one for months) and a round net swing that can be hung from the swingset or a tree branch.

They hung it up on the swingset almost immediately and spent the rest of the night playing outside.

Cuatro turns 2!

Cuatro loves Curious George. It’s one of the few shows that he has seen and we have a lot of books featuring Curious George since Pudge loved him when he was younger as well.

He was really excited when he saw his cake!

(His cupcake that we put the candle in)

After cake, he opened his presents.

He got a Curious George sweatshirt that he really liked
and a soft red and brown blanket

His big gift was a Curious George stuffed animal which he refused to touch or play with until a few days later when we took the red shirt off. We all though that it was going to be his favorite thing but he would push it away if we tried to put it near him. Once the shirt was off, he started playing with it.

Heat Wave

We’re having a heat wave this week and the pool has been really warm by the time that Papa comes home from work each night so we’ve been having some dinner time swims.

Tonight, I promised the older kids that we would go out as soon as Cuatro laid down (teething has put him on a not so great schedule) and he ended up taking an extra long nap. So I sent Little Bear in to get my workout gear and I did my workout next to the pool while the kids swam and yelled out the moves that I was doing (It was playing over the Bluetooth speaker and every move was named after an animal so they thought it was funny.)

Mini Golf

While Abuelo and Abuela had the other three kids for the weekend, Papa and I got to spend some special time with Pudge. Pudge and I went to his appointments on Friday and then to the library.

Then we came home and spent some time swimming until Papa came home.

Once Papa was home, they spent time together playing games, hanging out, making plans for the next day, and then we went for a night swim.

Saturday, Pudge had an appointment  and then we did chores and ran errands for much of the day. Then we got icecream and went Mini Golfing which is what Pudge had picked as his fun thing to do.

He was excited to beat me by 1.

Then we went to Lily’s to have sushi for dinner. Since he is a pescatarian, he had California rolls and red bean ice cream (yes, he had ice cream twice that day). He also won two stuffed animals from the claw machine in the front.

(He won this one as we were walking in and then won’t a stuffed cow on our way out)

He was so happy to be getting sushi for dinner. (His brothers like it if we go here but they don’t usually choose it on their own)

Sunday morning, he slept in (we had gotten home around 9:30) and woke up just in time to come with me to pick up his brothers. He was given the option to stay home and relax but he was really looking forward to seeing them and wanted to come for the drive too.
