Baby Cuatro Update...Or... "Yes, I'm still Pregnant."

This is officially my longest pregnancy and baby doesn't seem to be in a hurry to join us yet. On Wednesday, we had our 40 week appointment (40w2d) which included the first internal exam. Before the exam, they had offered to do a membrane sweep since Baby Cuatro had been "low and in the pelvis" since our ultrasound at 38 weeks and I had been having contractions that morning. However, when they did they exam, they found that Baby Cuatro had since disengaged and was "floating high" and not in a favorable position for birth. So they weren't able to do a membrane sweep.

My blood pressure was also high for the second time and since I had recently been having issues with dizziness and headaches, they wanted to see me again the following day (40w3d) to check my blood pressure and possibly discuss inducing the following day if needed.

Thursday (today), I went for my blood pressure appointment and although it was at the high range of normal, it was within limits. I also had all three kids with me at the time which they said may have played a part in it being a little higher than they would have liked. Weight was still 8 lbs under prepregnancy and there was no protein issues in the urine sample. So, we are going to continue to let him grow and hope that he comes on his own terms. I have another blood pressure appointment on Monday and a bother appointment scheduled for Wednesday which would be the latest they will let us go without planning an induction.

Weekend Update

On Friday, Abuelo and Abuela came down for the day. They watched all three kids while Papa and I went to an OB appointment. Then Abuela brought Little Bear and Pudge with me to their dentist appointments. Neither one had any cavities however it was suggested that Little Bear have two baby teeth pulled soon because the adult teeth above them aren't coming in correctly (they are starting to go sideways vs. coming down).

Afterward, we all spent time at the house together before Abuelo and Abuela left. Pudge and Pequeño got to go with them for a weekend sleepover. They left with big plans of going to Rita's for Italian ice, playing with cousins, lots of swimming at Aunt D's pool, and going to the family reunion on Sunday before coming home.

Since Little Bear was home without the younger ones for the weekend, he got to pick a few things to do with Papa and I. After the younger kids left on Friday, we went to Sittler's Golf for Papa and Little Bear to go to the driving range.
Then we went miniature golfing
It started lightly raining during our last three holes but we decided to keep playing and then get icecream.
Little Bear had ordered a cookie cone and was accidentally given a regular one. So, when he asked if he could have the cookie one, they put one on top of his icecream. He had a fun and messy time eating it!
(Mama's icecream- fudge brownie with sprinkles)

Papa had to stop at the house to get a few things done for work after we finished our icecream and then we decided to go bowling. Papa had gone to the bowling alley once before with Pudge but Little Bear and I had never been there. It was really nice and had an arcade upstairs which we checked out after bowling two games.

Saturday, Little Bear ran a kids run.

Afterwards, we stopped at an outdoor tool sale and walked around for a little bit. Then we went to one of the local farmer's markets. While we were there, we met the owners of a nearby farm who were very sweet and gave me flowers since I am due soon. It turned out that the couple had delivered five of their six children with the OB practice that we go to and they had rave reviews which was great for Papa and I to hear.  We were also really glad to hear about their farming and animal raising practices and plan to get in touch with them again soon.

In the afternoon, Papa and Little Bear headed to a soccer game in Philly (which we had gotten tickets to through the kids soccer league). They left early with the Foosball table and plans to tailgate before the game.
They had awesome seats!

Sunday, we all slept in and then relaxed for most of the morning. After lunch, we went for a walk at a nearby path
On our walk, we found a small nest on the side of the path
After our walk, we quickly went home to get changed and rearrange the seats in the van so we could go pick up Pudge and Pequeño. By the time that we got back from picking them up, we only had time for a quick potty break at the house before leaving for Little Bear's soccer camp.

While he was at camp, we took the younger kids for ice cream and a walk at the duck pond.
They both made a mess...
Once we picked Little Bear up from camp, it was pretty late but still light outside. So we went home and the kids played in the yard with the neighbor for a little bit before going to bed.

Father's Day Weekend 2016

Papa was off from work for Father's Day weekend so we had a busy one!

Saturday- In the morning, we went to the kids' run. Before the run started, the kids checked out the sponsor tents where they each got a really nice drawstring bag, got to pet a Bearded Dragon,
and make giant bubbles
Papa ran with Pequeño this time and said that Pequeño took off as soon as the horn blew and didn't stop once this time.
I waited with Pudge for his group to start next.
Then we all cheered for the older group who was finishing and watched the start of Little Bear's group. While we waited for his group to finish, the kids checked out the creek.
Little Bear did a great job!
He was a little upset because he had been bumped into a tree at one busy point in the course which had caused him to fall.

Afterwards, the kids were given freeze pops and water to cool down. Of course, they had to stop for balloon animals on the way to the car too.
Pequeño got a sword
Pudge got a dog
Little Bear got a crown

They can't wait until their next runs!

We got home around lunch time and spent most of the rest of the day relaxing, cleaning, and playing Foosball.

Sunday-
On Father's Day, the kids let Papa sleep in (which was really hard for them) and then woke him up with their homemade cards and gifts.
A little while later, Abuelo and Abuela came down to celebrate the day together. First we went to Little Bear's last soccer game of the Spring season (they won!).

Then after a quick outfit change and potty break, we headed to the promenade to watch Finding Dory in 3D. (The movie was really good and I'm sure that it will be on our list of movies that the kids want to watch over and over).
After that, we had a little bit of time so we  sat outside at Starbucks and called Tio C  while the kids, Abuela, and Papa enjoyed drinks.
Next, we went to Torre for dinner. Everyone had a great time and we came home with a ton of leftovers as always. The kids had told Abuelo and Abuela about the different icecream that they have there while we were at Starbucks so they were excited for dessert. Abuelo, Little Bear, Papa and Mama all had the avocado icecream, Pudge had coconut icecream, and Abuela and Pequeño had vanilla (although they almost accidentally gave Abuela coconut which she hates!). Pequeño also weaseled some tres leche from Mama and avocado icecream from Abuelo too so he was in bliss.

Once we were finished with dinner, we walked a little bit and hung out before Abuelo and Abuela had to head back to their house.

Once they left, we went to look for sneakers for the kids only to find that all of those stores had closed a few minutes before. So we decided to look for some hiking gear at L.L. Bean and then take a walk around the promenade.
 (skipping rocks)

After that, we went to the fish hatchery to feed the fish, bird watch, and then for a nature walk until it got dark.
