The past few days...

The past few days have been really busy. We've spent much of the time cleaning up the new house and moving things over from the "old" house. The landscaping of both homes needed to be done so Papa mowed both lawns and then we, as a family, have been weeding gardens, removing branches, fixing outdoor issues, and discovering things such as a hidden koi pond in one of the garden beds and deer trails in the back woods.  We have a ton of gorgeous flowers in bloom and will be adding a few more soon.

The kids spend as much time as possible outside and have the many bug bites and dirt covered hands to prove it. One of my favorite things here has been that I often look out one of the windows and see the older three running around the yard or sitting quietly in the grass down the hill together.

We found a cute ground nest while checking out the tree line. There were little bits of egg shell inside.

Unfortunately, when we uncovered the pool, we found some damage that we will need to fix before we can open it for the season. So, my plans of a "last day of school" pool party went out the window. It will likely be a few weeks before everything is done and we are able to enjoy the pool.

Our House

This last week has been a busy one for us. We bought a house and have been slowly moving into it and making it our home. Although it is in the same school district, the elementary school will be different so we are continuing to rent our other house until after school year ends to allow the kids to finish there.

It was a long and stressful process but we are all so excited, relieved, and amazed that we are now able to call this our home.

We are slowly getting things put into their places and beginning to tackle the never ending to-do list.
