Pequeño turns 6!

Pequeño has been asking daily for the last few weeks when it will finally be his birthday. He had a fun filled day planned and couldn’t wait to start telling everyone that he was 6 now.

In the morning, Abuela came down to spend the day with us and to babysit the kids during some of the appointments scheduled throughout the day. Pequeño had a dentist appointment in the morning and was happy to hear that his teeth looked great and he was cavity free!

For lunch, we went to King’s Pizza and let the kids get slices so they could pick whatever kind they wanted.

On our way out, the kids spotted a Lehigh Valley Rocks rock (you take a picture with it, post online, and then hide it for someone else to find) and we’re very excited to explain it to Abuela. They plan to hide it on our upcoming trip.

Then we walked across the parking lot to get Polish Ice. It was our first time going there and Abuela has wanted to try it since the first time she saw the sign while visiting us. Little Bear decided to get ice cream, Pudge and Pequeño got Cotton Candy Ice, and Cuatro got Watermelon Ice. They all loved it.

Then we went home and the kids played outside for a little while. Pudge had a vision therapy appointment so the rest of the kids stayed and played with Abuela while we went.

When we got back around 4:30, Abuela visited for a little while longer and then needed to drive back home. The kids rode their bikes and played on the driveway with chalk until Papa came home around 6 and it was time for Pequeño to open his presents.

He received a new Moana necklace (his had broken and he had been wishing for one for months) and a round net swing that can be hung from the swingset or a tree branch.

They hung it up on the swingset almost immediately and spent the rest of the night playing outside.
