Baseball Game

Last night, we took the kids to a local minor league baseball game (Lehigh Valley IronPigs). We had great seats to the left of the catcher (behind the net) and the kids had so much fun cheering for each of the players.
Pequeño made friends with the people who were next to us and had them laughing as he showed off his various skills ranging from peek-a-boo to pretending to catch a ball.
How is this kid already 7 (and looking years older)? There were a few foul balls hit into the crowd but there was also a bat which was thrown and hit someone not too far from us. Little Bear was very concerned for the person and wondered why the game continued while the paramedics were still taking care of them.
The kids ate all of their favorite baseball goodies (hot dogs, cotton candy, funnel cake). Pequeño has outgrown his wheat allergy so he was very excited to eat the roll from a hot dog and funnel cake this time (and managed to try both flavors of cotton candy from his brothers).
Towards the end of the game, the kids (Pequeño) were starting to get restless and we decided to go to the lawn area for a little bit for them to run around. The game was tied and slow moving. We bought the funnel cake on the way there and sat down to eat it.
It was over cooked and crunchy but the kids didn't mind since it was covered in powdered sugar (and so were they when they were done).

Then they started running around with other kids and Pudge decided to roll down the hill once. Pequeño thought that rolling down the hill looked fun and was angry that we wouldn't let him do it as well. Papa bought the older kids light up swords and they spent the rest of our time on the lawn running and playing with another boy and his sword.
Once the game got into the ninth inning, we headed back to our seats. The kids knew that it was the end and tied so they were yelling even louder than before with the crowd.  The IronPigs won in the last inning!

They throw out little "victory pig" animals when they win and the people sitting next to us caught one and gave it to the boys. They were really excited and told them thank you a a million times. I think Pudge was the most excited about it and had pretty much claimed it as soon as he got to hold it. (He ended up sleeping with it.)

After the game there were fireworks.
I think one of the kids favorite parts was that we got to ride the golf cart shuttle to and from the parking lot. Pequeño wasn't sure what to think of it but would say "wheeee!" when we went around turns.
